More Improvements - In another column will be seen an advertisement form the engineer's office at Hamilton, for tenders for furnishing the materials required for the construction of the Long Point Light House. Mr. Shaw spent some days here, last week, making arrangements for a more vigorous prosecution of the public improvements in this section. The approaching season promises well for Canada; and we only require a brief period of political quiet to place us in a train of prosperity such as the country has never hitherto known.

Let those who feel disposed to countenance the upstart agitators of the day, "look before they leap", and consider what the result in all probability would be should these designing men ever partially succeed in their schemes. - Long Point Adv.
