From private dispatches we learn that the schr. WM. HUNTER, loaded with corn from Toledo, sunk at the dock in Dunkirk yesterday. The vessel was valued at $5,000 and insured for $3,400. The tug ORIENT, with a steam pump was to go to her aid from this port last night.

The schr. HUNTER which was sunk at Dunkirk, is owned at Toledoby E. Doville and was loaded with 18,000 bu. of corn by Williams & Hallaran. She is insured for $5,000 on her cargo in the Amazon of Cincinnati, and $3,600 on her hull in the Lamar of New York and the franklin of Virginia, each having a risk of $1,800.

Last evening the owner of the schr. WM. HUNTER, which sunk in the harbor at Dunkirk, received a dispatch stating that she had been raised, and would be towed here for repairs. The vessel had on about 8,000 bu. corn, part of which will be left at Dunkirk and the balance brought to this city. The repairs will be made at Mills& Walsh's drydock.
