During the gale of Thursday night the barge T.M. RYAN, which went ashore at pt. Abino last fall, together with the McGILVRAY, ORTON and one other, was completely broken to pieces by the wind and ice and is now scattered all along the shore. The McGILVRAY and ORTON which were all blocked and ready for launching, were forced off and carried higher up on the beach.
