ACCIDENT TO STEAMER PASSPORT. - About 3 o'clock yesterday norning the steamer PASSPORT collided with a schooner between Colborne and Cobourg on her up trip. There was a dense fog at the time, and the schooner's lights were so low as not to be noticed, although a good look-out was kept, and the bells of the steamer rung, the whistle sounded, and all other precautions taken. The PASSPORT had three of her staterooms badly damaged. There were about 100 cabin and the same number of steerage passengers on board, but fortunately there was nobody hurt. The schooner had her jibboom carried away. We did not hear the name of the schooner. - Hamilton Spectator, 30th.
