VESSEL ASHORE. - The brig HELFENSTEIN, laden with iron ore, sprung a leak on Sunday last, while on Lake Huron, downward bound, and, to prevent her sinking, was run ashore that night near Harrisville, some 18 miles above Sable River. The intelligence was received here yesterday, by telegraph, from East Saginaw. The wrecking steamer MAGNET was got in readiness, as soon as possible, and left yesterday afternoon for the scene of operations. The HELFENSTEIN is owned in Buffalo, by Mr. Harnett, and is insured in the Phoenix Insurance Company. - Detroit Free Press, 6th.

BRIG HELFENSTEIN. - This vessel, which sprang a leak and was run ashore near Harrisville, on Lake Huron, Sunday before last, was brought to Detroit on Saturday last by the MAGNET. Some 50 tons of iron ore of this vessel's cargo was lost, but the vessel's damages can be repaired in a few hours by simply caulking more or less of her seams.
