ONEIDA Propeller, was in collision with the Schooner HIAWATHA off Point au Sable, Lake Michigan, October 1866. The schooner was a total loss, together with her cargo of grain, but no casualty was reported for the propeller.

      COLLISION AND LOSS OF SCHOONER HIAWATHA. - From information received by parties here, we understand that on Saturday of Sunday last, the propeller ONEIDA collided with the schooner HIAWATHA, off Point au Sable; the latter immediately sank. Her cargo consisted of wheat, and she had but little insurance on her hull.
