A WAIF ON THE WATERS.---The canal boat S. GALLOWAY while being towed from this city to Cleveland by the Propeller GRANITE STATE, owing to the roughness of the lake, broke her fastenings and was left adrift upon Erie's turbulent bosom. A Tug from Cleveland went to the assistance of the boat and towed her into that port.
