DAMAGE BY THE LATE GALE.--We have obtained the following facts in relation to the damage done by the gale of the 13th. inst. and lay then before the public as authentic. ---Schooner LOUISA JENKINS, went ashore at Grand River; the vessel was got off without damage. The cargo, owned principally at Cincinnati, was damaged about $1,000. No insurance.
Schooner COLUMBUS, went ashore at the same place, filled, and lost a small part of her cargo, consisting of provisions. The vessel was considerably injured. No insurance.
Schooner YOUNG LION, went ashore, at Otter Creek, U. Canada---insured, and will be got off with little or no damage. Has since arrived in port.
Schooner SUSAN, British vessel, ashore at the same place; will be got off with trifling damage.
The Schooner LADY WASHINGTON, with a cargo valued at 10 or 15,000 Dollars, was wrecked on the 16th inst. off Sturgeon Point. She struck a reef, was got off, and finally sunk in 18 feet water - crew all safe. The cargo, composed of salt and dry goods, owned by merchants at Erie, and in the interior, was principally stowed in the hold, and will probably be wholly ruined - no insurance. The vessel said to be old and unseaworthy.
The above is all the damage that has been heard of, many of the vessels out during the gale, had left our harbor the day before it commenced, and took shelter under Point Abino.
