After pulling all Monday night on the MERRIMAC and jettisoning one hundred tons of ore the propellers MANHATTEN and MASSACHUSETTS and Tug DELTA succeeded in getting her afloat at 5 a.m. She went to Escanaba and took on more ore to put her in trim and left for Chicago at noon. The boats are not injured.
