Late last fall the schooner YORK STATE was released from the rocks in Georgian Bay, and afterwards thoroughly rebuilt at Collingwood. On reaching Chicago the custon officers collected repair duties amounting to $713. The money was paid under protest.

Late last fall the schr. YORK STATE was wrecked in Georgian Bay. She was released and taken to Collingwood, where she was thoroughly rebuilt. Collector Seeberger of Chicago collected $713 duties on the repairs. J.H. Skeels, owner of the vessel has appealed to the Treasury Dept., asking that the money be refunded.
