      Sault ste. Marie.---The schooner REPUBLIC, which went ashore last fall, has been released, and will be taken to Detroit for repairs.

Cleveland.---The insurance companies have offered the schooner REPUBLIC, now at Cleveland, for sale at $3,000 An offer of $2,500 has been made. Her ore cargo has been taken out. It is the intention to sell her without making any repairs on her.
