Description
Full Text

The Free Press Correspondent at Port Huron writes as follows: June 3rd. -- An effort is now on foot to raise the sunken schooner OTTAWA, which lies on the bottom just above Black River bridge. The barge WYOMING lies alongside and will assist in the work, doing the service of a pontoon. The hole made in the OTTAWA's side, by the propeller CRAIG, will be battened up, and also her hatches, when she will be pumped out. In her present position she is liable to obstruct navigation in Bralc River, by capsizing.

Port Huron, June 6. -- The schooner OTTAWA was raised last night and will probably be towed to Sarnia Bay for a final resting place. It is not probable anything will be done towards fixing her up unless times improve materially.

The schooner OTTAWA has been towed to Sarnia Bay, where she will probably grace the bottom for a number of years until she sinks beneath the surface.

Port Huron.---R.G. McCullough, the submarine diver, has taken the contract to remove the two old wrecks in Sarnia Bay.
The Canadian Government offers the hull of the schooner OTTAWA to anyone who will remove it. I dont see much of anything to move. They are very liberal.
