Chicago.---Leopold and Austrian received word Monday, that the propeller CITY OF FREMONT, ran ashore at the entrance of Portage canal, Lake Superior, Saturday morning. Tugs and lighters were sent for, but before their arrival the steamer released herself by jettisoning 20,000 brick. Two steamers of this line were ashore last week and fortunately escaped serious consequences.
