- Full Text
Sandusky.---The passenger steamer B.F. FERRIS, while en route from the islands to this port Thursday, sprung a leak between Kelley's Island and Marblehead and narrowly escaped going down midway between those two ports. She finally reached Marblehead, where her hold filled rapidly extinguished her fires, and she sank to the bottom in about twelve feet of water alongside the dock. She was raised and towed here and will be drydocked.
