Paddle-wheel steamer St. LAWRENCE, while bound from Sorel to Saguenay on June 16
1887, mistook the channel, owing to pilot error, and grounded four and a half miles below Sorel. The vessel was 25 years of age and her Home port, Quebec. It is unknown whether it was a total or partial loss. Property loss, not given
