Prescott (Schooner), gale damage, 1 Oct 1834

Description
Full Text

The storms on the upper lakes have done considerable injury to the shipping. Among a list of schooner sufferers we find the following:--Schooner PRESCOTT, belonging to Crane, Hooker & Co., lost her foremast, and had her sails much damaged. She succeeded in getting into the Genesee, where she will be repaired and refitted. No damage was done to her hull or cargo, which was principally for Toronto. The ARIADNE, LADY HILLIER, JNO. McGILL and others, not yet known, have also suffered in their sails or rigging.---------Montreal Herald
