On Wednesday night the steamer St.GEORGE while on her way up the St.Lawrence, struck on a shoal, owing to the darkness of the night. She was got off again, but it was found impossible to keep her afloat, and she was run ashore at the mouth of French Creek. The passengers and crew were taken off, with part of the cargo by the COMMODORE BARRIE we believe
