ASHORE.---We learn from the Manitowoc Herald of the 21st. inst., that the barque
REPUBLIC is ashore on Skilligalee Reef, about 40 miles S.W. of mackinac. She was bound to Chicago with a full freight, probably coal. She is a large vessel of 400 tons, and belongs to Reed, of Erie.
