November 1848.-- Schooner UNCLE TOM, ashore on Long Point, L. E., no cargo; total
loss. Property loss $2,000.
      1848 Casualty List (Capt. Rounds)
      Buffalo Daily Republic
      January 4, 1849

NOTE:--- although the above is listed as a total loss in November 1848, she is again listed as ashore and a total loss on Long Point in November 1849. ??? She is also listed as ashore in September 1848 on Long Point. In any case all three are compiled seperately with the Nov. 1849 casualty being a total loss.
