VESSEL COLLISION. -- We learn from Captain Snell, of the schooner MATT ROOT, that his vessel bound from Chicago to this port, last Thursday night, collided with the Canada schooner COMAN, off Grand River. The ROOT was beating down, and the COMAN ran across her bows. The former had her bowsprit and fore-rigging carried away. The COMAN was light, and when the vessels parted seemed to be rapidly making water.
