SERIOUS COLLISION.---The schooner NELSON, bound for Oswego, ran into the schooner J.G. BEARD, bound for Kingston, off Long Point, in the gale of Friday night. The BEARD is supposed to be a total loss, but the crew were saved. Part of them have returned here.
The BEARD was loaded here by Messrs. J. Aspinall & Son, on the 2nd. inst., who are
fully insured in a Canadian Company.------Detroit Tribune
