The schr. AFRICA, bound down from Marquette with a cargo of iron ore, while sailing through the South River, on Wednesday, struck near Sailor's Encampment on some iron ore which had been thrown overboard by an unknown vessel a year or two since. Shortly after striking she sunk, though not in very deep water. The captain came down on the prop. CONCORD, which reached here yesterday and returned last evening with tug SATELLITE with 2 steam pumps. A portion of her cargo will have to be lightered, when, with the aid of the pumps she can be floated.
