Supply (Schooner), aground, 5 Nov 1832

Description
Full Text

STORM. - On Monday evening we were visited by a strong gale of wing from the west, accompanied by a heavy fall of rain, and succeeded by a considerable snow storm. We fear much damage has occurred on the lake, but the only accident we have as yet learned is that of the schooner ANDREW, Capt. McCloy, owned by Capt. Belden of Cleveland, and laden with lumber from Long Point. She lies stranded near the Light House, above the pier.
A Canadian schooner, called the LORD NELSON, we have just heard, is ashore
at Dunkirk.

On the 5th. inst. the Missionary Schr. SUPPLY, went ashore on the bar at Goose Island near Detroit, bilged and sunk. It is supposed that all the loss of cargo sustained would be 15o barrels of salt. She was owned by the Mission at Mackina.
