Escanaba, Mich., Dec. 13. - Fire was discovered on the barge ADRIATIC yesterday as she lay in winter quarters here. Flames broke out in the engine room and an alarm was given by the watchman, who was the only person aboard, the crew having gone Sunday. Firemen extinhuished the blaze, with the help of the tug GOLDEN, after the upper works had been burned.
