LAKE SUPERIOR TRAFFIC BLOCKED BY WRECK IN HAY LAKE CHANNEL.
Sault Ste. Marie, April 26 - Lake Superior traffic is blocked by the Canadian steamer IROQUOIS, which sank last night crossing the channel after striking the dyke in Hay Lake. All steamers have been held here since midnight and nothing can get through. The steamer struck in the same place that the HUTCHINSON did a few days ago. Tugs and divers left here at midnight, and work is being rushed. The IROQUOIS was down bound with a cargo of grain. The accidents in the Soo Passage have already been serious and costly although navigation has not been open two weeks.
