The steambarge BURLINGTON from Detroit to Manitoulin Island to load timber, burned to the water's edge Saturday night while at anchor at the entrance of the Straits. The crew were rescued. The BURLINGTON is the barge which burned at Sandwich last year and which was raised and rebuilt by the Grummond Line.
