Montezuma (Barge), leak, 10 May 1906

Ashtabula, May 10 - The barge MONTEZUMA, bound down the lake with iron ore,
displayed distress signals off this port this morning. The lifesaving crew found the vessel leaking badly and in danger of foundering. Tugs towed the boat safely into port.
