Rescue (Propeller), aground, 15 Jul 1857

Description
Full Text

The prop. QUINCY of the old Oswego Line went hard aground on Friday morning a short distance below Algonac, in the Detroit River ? She was from Chicago with a heavy load, and will probably be easily got off upon being lightered.
The Lake Navigation Co.'s tug RESCUE also went ashore at Algonac. There was a dense fog prevailing at the time.
