Port Huron, July 30 - The schr. SAMUEL J. TILDEN, dound bound, loaded with ore, in tow of the stmr. NORSEMAN, sprung a leak on Saginaw Bay yesterday, but her pumps kept her free until about 8 miles above Fort Gratiot Light, when the NORSEMAN towed her as near the beach as possible, and let her go ashore. There is a big sea running down the lake, and the schooner is pounding heavily. When the sea runs down the tugs BOYNTON and THOMPSON with steam pumps will try to release her.
