Burlington (Propeller), struck pier, 1 May 1863

Description
Full Text

The propeller BURLINGTON on her recent trip up from Buffalo to this port, met with quite a disaster while attempting to enter Port Stanley harbor during the recent storm. The mouth of the harbor is unusually narrow, and in entering she struck one of the piers, knocking a large hole in her port bow. She succeeded in coming on to this port, where she has since been repaired. - ?
