The stmr. PEERLESS which was sunk at Duluth by the barge A. STEWART, has been raised.

The suit which arose over the collision between the steamer PEERLESS of the Lake Superior Line and the schooner STEWART, in which the PEERLESS was sunk in Duluth harbor, was decided Friday by Judge Lochran in the United States court at Minneapolis. The suit was brought by the owners of the PEERLESS to recover $22,000 damages from the tugs MYSTIC, BUFFALO and INDUSTRY. At the time of the collision the MYSTIC had a raft in tow. The BUFFALO had the schooner and the INDUSTRY was in charge of the PEERLESS. Judge Lochran's decision released the MYSTIC from liability and holds the BUFFALO and INDUSTRY. Both tugs belong to the Great Lakes Towing Co.
