The schr. MINNIE PROCTOR, of Picton, ran ashore near Oakville, Ont., on Thursday night (5/14) last week, and is now a total wreck. She was loaded with coal for Gooderham & Worts, Toronto. No insurance on either vessel or cargo.

The schr. MINNIE PROCTOR, Capt. Weller, from Oswego, with a cargo of coal for Mr. Thomas Myles, of this city, ran ashore at Oakville in the fog of Monday night (5/18), but was finally got off after unloading part of her cargo. Very little of the coal was lost. The hull of the schooner was not damaged but she carried away her rudder and split her foresail to ribbons. - Hamilton Spectator
