Schooner EDWARD BLAKE, Capt. Jack Sidley, ashore a total loss on the Duck Island, Lake Huron, October 13, during a snow storm. Cargo was general supplies from Sarnia to Collins Inlet, cargo will likely be saved. Vessel owned by Mr. Mills, a banker of Kingston.

The Canadian schooner EDWARD BLAKE, lies a charred wreck on Duck Island, south of Manitoulin Island. The BLAKE was owned by Thomas Mills, a banker of Kingston. She went ashore on the Island and caught fire while there and became a total loss. She was in charge of Capt. John Sidley of Belleville and was valued at $3,000. The schooner had no cargo.
