We learn from a telegram received by the Board of Lake Underwriters:
      The schr. CATHERINE of Cobourg, laden with wheat, is ashore near Presque Isle.

NOTE:- Re-built into the schooner WILLIAM ELGIN (1878 Marine Classification Index) and as such was lost on Lake Ontario, May 16, 1888 when she foundered about 16 miles N. W. of Oswego (Marine & Fisheries, Statement of Wreck for 1888.)
