SEAMAN DROWNED. - The schooner ALDEBARAN, which arrived here this morning, lost overboard a seaman named Ashley Ames, about half past three o'clock Sunday morning, while about ten miles above Port Stanley. He was knocked overboard by the foreboom while jibing sail. The wind was blowing a gale at the time. Every effort was made to save the unfortunate man, but without avail. He was a brother of Captain Leonard Ames, and resided at Angola, where he leaves a wife and two children.
