Detroit, Nov. 2 - The steamer AMAZON, schooner E.J. JUDD and C.B. JONES, are
      ashore on the north side of North Manitou.

      Capt. Poetgather, master of the scow S.P. WILSON, which was lost at Grand Haven recently, says his vessel ran on the wreck of the steamship AMAZON, just south of the piers and became a total loss before an effort could be made to release her. Thus it would seem that the AMAZON is a dangerous obstruction to navigation.
