- Full Text
Cleveland, Oct. 11 - The TASMANIA, a four masted schooner, owned by James Corrigan of this city, went ashore just east of the entrance to the harbor early this morning.
She was bound down from Lake Superior with a cargo of ore and tried to make port under sail. Two harbor tugs tried to get lines to her, but the sea was to heavy.
Part of her crew and the two daughters of her captain were taken ashore by the life-saving crew. The schooner is in a dangerous position. She is valued at $35,000.
