The excursion stmr. PURITAN while coming up the river about 12:00 Saturday night ran aground on Horseshoe Reef. She was returning from the Police Picnic, and the coppers and their families had to remain on board all night. Tugs went to her relief and succeeded in relieving her about 5:00. She sustained no damage.
