Angelique (Steam yacht), sunk, 10 Apr 1882
- Full Text
Mr. L.B. Fortier received a despatch yesterday afternoon from Capt. James Doyle, dated Dunkirk, which stated that the steam yacht ANGELIQUE, while endeavoring to enter Dunkirk harbor, Saturday night, struck an old crib under the water and sunk just inside the light. She was running in there to repair a break in her machinery. Two tugs and a lighter, with chains, etc., will at once be sent to raise her. The yacht has but recently been sold by Mr. Fortier, and was proceeding to her home port.
