SUNK - We learn that the schooner R.B. HUBBARD is sunk off South Manitou Island, Lake Michigan, in about 12 fathoms water, in consequence of a collision with the schooner METROPOLIS, of this place. The HUBBARD was loaded with grain

SCHOONER HUBBARD NOT SUNK - A letter from the owners, R.B. Hubbard & Co., dated Sept. 27th, states that the HUBBARD had met with a collision and put back to the port of Chicago, with jibboom and cutwater torn away, but otherwise sound, and that she was then undergoing repairs, and would be ready to sail in day or two for this port.
