THE SCHOONER DELAWARE
She Finds Pilot Island - Assistance Sent To Her.
The schooner DELAWARE is ashore at Pilot Island. The tug KATE MOFFATT was sent to her assistance from Cheboygan, Mich., yesterday morning.
The DELAWARE is sailed by Captain Hi Henderson, and is owned by Winslow. She measures 546 tons, and classed A 2 dash. Unless the storm of last night interfered, she will doubtless be rescued without any great damage. She is light, and was bound from Chicago to Escanaba to load ore for Cleveland, the captain stating before he left here that on his arrival below she would be laid up until freights improve. She is, or was, a very fine vessel. The tug MOFFATT is an excellent wrecking-boat, and Captain Cotton is a good wrecking master.
