SERIOUS DAMAGE TO THE TUG ONTARIO.
L'Anse, Mich., July 8. -- The tug ONTARIO, while outside Huron Island light, waiting a tow, yesterday morning, caught fire and her upper works burned. Loss about $1,000. She was calked up and towed to this port by the tug JOHN ELY. Fully insured.
