THE STEAMER CLARA SUNK - Yesterday afternoon, at about 2:30 o'clock, the steamer CLARA, while lying at her dock in Windsor, was observed by persons on this side to settle, and almost immediately went down in about 20 feet of water What caused her to sink is a mystery, but it is supposed that the intense heat caused her planking to shrink so as to let the oakum drop out, and consequently to allow water to run in. Only her upper deck is above water. The boat has been laid up all the season, and it was not in contemplation to fit her out. Her owner, Mr. Walter P. Campbell, states that she will be raised immediately, and then be put in dry dock and repaired. The CLARA was built in 1861.

THE CLARA - The Canada Wrecking Co., succeeded in getting the steamer CLARA above water yesterday, and today will pump her out. She does not appear to be injured in any way. Two small pieces of railing that are missing, were taken off purposely.
