The tug COLLINGWOOD was totally destroyed by fire on the evening of the 15th, twelve miles out from Byng Inlet Light. The origin of the fire is a mystery. The crew all escaped.

The tug COLLINGWOOD, owned by S.G. Kanady & Co., of Toronto, was totally destroyed by fire on the evening of the 19th inst., five miles out from the Byng Inlet light. The origin of the fire is a mystery. The crew were, with difficulty saved, as withing five minutes after the alarm was given the boat was one sheet of flames from stem to stern.
