Ashtabula, O., Sept 13. -- The floating bridge at the harbor was carried away this morning. The river never has been known to be as high. The schooners YORK STATE and JESSIE broke loose today and went out in the lake. There was several men on the JESSIE, but they jumped off on to the pier. The YORK STATE was in winter quarters.

LOST AND GONE ASHORE - Yesterday's Cleveland Leader contained the following: The schooners St. ANDREW and YORK STATE are reported lost at Ashtabula harbor. The former had gone there after a load of coal, having just come out of dry-dock. She is now high and dry on the bank of the Creek, and threatens to be a total loss. The YORK STATE was tied to the dock up the Creek, pulled from her fastenings and drifted out and went ashore. The schooner JESSIE also floated out into the lake, but her fate could not be learned. The St. ANDREW spoken of is a small Canadian schooner.

A special dispatch from Ashtabula to Buffalo parties says: The schooner JESSIE, which was stranded by the flood, was today pulled off by tugs. She is not seriously damaged, but will have to go into dry dock. The tug CROWELL, from Buffalo, has arrived to assist in pulling off the YORK STATE, which is still high on shore.
