ASHORE. - Buffalo, October 26 - The tug HI SMITH, with lighter in tow, went ashore last night on Tecumseh Reef. The tug will probably be a total loss. One man missing.

      Buffalo, Oct. 28. - During the heavy storm on Sunday night, the tug HI SMITH, owned by Thomas Maytham, of this city, left Horseshoe Harbor, eight miles from Grand River, with the scow GRACE AMELIA and a lighter in tow, the tug shortly after striking a rock on Tecumseh Reef, sinking her immediately. The crew escaped by jumping on the scow, which ran into the tug. The tug W.A. HALL succeeded in getting the scow and lighter off, but when near this city the latter broke loose and beached near this port. Total loss $4,000, insurance
