Rebecca (Barge), sunk, 28 Oct 1878

The barge REBECCA foundered Tuesday on Saginaw Bay between Point aux Barques and the Charities. She was bound for Bay City in tow of the tug KATE WILLIAMS and was stone laden. The weather was heavy and sprang a leak and filled. The crew were saved with difficulty by a yawl from the barge FOSTORIA.
