FOUR CANAL BOATS OVER THE TROY DAM. - On Monday four canal boats went over the dam at Troy. The names of the boats are : H.H. KNIGHT, Capt. A.H. Thatcher
of Port Edward, loaded with potatoes; and GILES SANFORD; G.W. NEWELL; and ARTHUR LUTHER, of Glen Falls, loaded with lumber. The hands on the boats took refuge on the H.H. KNIGHT, and went over the dam with the boat. Their situation was a precarious one but they were finally rescued by the steamer J.S. IDE. The boat are all complete wrecks, and as there is no insurance on them, the loss will be a severe one to the owners, probably full $15,000.
