VESSEL ON FIRE. - Yesterday afternoon, about 2 o'clock, as the schooner HANOVER was passing down the river in tow of the tug JOHN ELY, she took fire in her jibtopsail and flying jib, by means of sparks from the tug. As the wind was blowing fresh up stream she was headed up as quickly as possible, and the flames extinguished. She was towed into the dock at Windsor. Detroit Free Press.
