Capt. Palmer of the propeller TONAWANDA, reports the schooner REPUBLIC ashore on South Manitou Island. She was loaded at this port with wheat and cleared on the 21st. She is expected to be got off by relieving her of part of her load without damage. - Milwaukee News.
